I love fish and especially halibut, its thicker and has more of a hearty consistency but its not tough like some of the more meatier fish. This recipe is super simple and easy to throw together and works perfectly for 21 Day Fix or any clean eating lifestyle! I was so surprised how the sweet flavors balance with the white fish to make a perfectly balanced meal that is truly restaurant quality.
Servings: 2
Ingredients:
- 4 Tangerines (peeled and divided)
- 2 Thick Fillets of Fresh Caught Halibut
- Dash of Himalayan Salt
- 2 Cloves of Garlic
- 2 tsp of Pure Unfiltered Honey
- 2 tsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1/2 Cup Fresh Pineapple
- Optional: Crushed red pepper flakes
Directions:
Add salt to the raw fish and set aside, preheat the oven to 425 degrees. In a bowl, combine the tangerine slices, with pineapple, crushed garlic, honey, olive oil and mash (add optional crushed red pepper to taste if you like it spicy!). Bring all to a boil on the stove top over medium heat and let the juices combine and mix together. Leave the pulp in the mixture and top the raw fish with the glaze. Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes. (maybe longer or less depending on the thickness of your fish). Serve with steamed broccoli or rice!
